Learning Ilocano in about ten hours
The challenge: Learn Ilocano, a Northern Philippino Language in about ten hours. How did we do it you ask? Well just in case we find ourselves in the middle of northern Luzon, we will likely be able to find our way around with the following crucial survival phrases which I've included here with rough English Translations:
[See-ge!] = Yo
[Die-Toy saba ] = this is a banana
and of course the ever necessary...
[Agsalsala ti asok ken ubing] = the dog is dancing with the child
So as you can see we are so close to every one will just assume we were born on Luzon, as long as we stick to mudane topics like bananas and dancing dogs.
