Our little cat had a sad misadventure on Saturday night.  Here is the event as described by Ian.  ("Put him down" below refers to tucking him into bed...)

Here's Fox's new look.  The vet said that he will likely not have sight in his right eye, but that he can possibly avoid surgery to remove the eye if the tissue stays alive and infection-free.  He is definitely a newbie at being a one-eyed cat (you can see the perplexed look as soon as the bug he's been chasing crosses the center line of his vision...), but he is back to his normal habits and level of friskiness, and seems to be feeling much better.  We still don't know what happened; the vet thinks he had some sort of blunt trauma like a fall or being hit by a rock.  We've found no other injuries.  We are thankful for this little guy and his resilience, and for God's kindness at having not one but two vets nearby!  Not many cats in our town have had a "pain-release" shot to help them rest after an accident.  :)

  2. I'm so impressed with Ian's fabulous handwriting! This was an informative account of Fox's adventure. Well done, Ian! It is amazing that there were vets nearby! I hope his poor eye heals cleanly.
